About Us

Goals & Objectives:

The purpose of the Barrow County Football Corporation is to serve the Barrow County,

Georgia community by providing an organized youth football organization for youths

aged five through thirteen. The organization will teach local youths the game of football,

promote the values of discipline, demonstrate a strong work ethic, utilize teamwork and

show complete dedication. BCF will place a strong emphasis on physical growth, mental

growth, and positive development. The organization strives to promote healthier lifestyles

through the physically demanding sport of football, while developing essential core

values that are inherent to the ultimate team sport.

History:

The Barrow County Football Corporation is a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit created

January 2025.This transition marks a fresh start for our community, allowing us to move forward with a

renewed focus on providing a positive, supportive, and unified football experience for all

youth athletes in Barrow County. As one organization, we are committed to serving both

Winder-Barrow and Apalachee youth football programs, ensuring that every child,

regardless of location, has access to the same high-quality experience and opportunities.

Through this restructuring, we aim to foster teamwork, inclusivity, and excellence for all

athletes, strengthening the community and creating a lasting, positive impact on the youth

football landscape.

Programs, Activities & Recent Accomplishments:

The Barrow County Football Corporation will provide a

comprehensive and positive football experience for youth athletes across Barrow County.

Our current accomplishments include:

Launch of the Barrow County Football Corporation: The transition from the Barrow

County Youth Football Association to the new 501(c)(3) nonprofit has allowed us to

continue serving the entire Barrow County community, uniting the Winder-Barrow and

Apalachee football programs under one organization.

Introduction of Scholarship Program: In the past, a scholarship program existed, but it

was not widely publicized, and many families were unaware of the opportunity. The

newly established board recognizes that this lack of visibility was a disservice to families

who could have benefited from it. To address this, we’ve relaunched and expanded the

scholarship program, ensuring that every child—regardless of their financial

background—has the chance to participate in the youth football program. This initiative

aims to provide equal access to opportunities for all families, ensuring that financial

constraints do not prevent any child from experiencing the benefits of being part of a

team. Through better outreach and communication, we are committed to making these

opportunities more accessible and transparent to the entire Barrow County community.

Engagement: The Barrow County Football Corporation is focused on

rebuilding. We understand that the mishandling of the program affected the community and

the experiences of many families. With a newly established board, we are committed to

restoring trust and providing a positive, transparent, and inclusive environment for all

involved. By strengthening relationships with local businesses, volunteers, and

community members, we are securing the resources necessary to ensure the growth and

success of our programs. Our goal is to create a fresh start for the youth athletes of

Barrow County, offering equal opportunities, building strong partnerships, and fostering a

sense of pride within our community.

Our primary focus is to restore the trust and confidence of our community, ensuring that every young

athlete has access to the opportunities, guidance, and support they deserve. We have implemented

new leadership, transparent practices, and a comprehensive approach to coaching and development,

aiming to foster a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment. With a renewed focus on

accountability, teamwork, and excellence, we are excited to provide Barrow County youth with the

foundation to excel on and off the field, and to build a brighter future for the next

generation of athletes.
